We’re pleased to inform you that CSU 52 and the City of Edmonton have reached a tentative agreement, which your Negotiations Committee recommends for ratification.

Bargaining Update #11
After hearing all the Union’s monetary proposals and taking time to gauge the things that the Employer believes is important to CSU 52 members, on April 11, the Employer provided the Union with a monetary offer to consider.

Bargaining Update #10
We met with the City on March 25, April 2 and 3 to have discussions about Program Specialists, many monetary proposals such as the safety boot subsidy, benefits and the GWI, and we also signed-off some of the unfinished non-monetary proposals.

Brief Bargaining Update
The COE Bargaining Committee met with the employer on March 6,14, and 18. The Union has tabled almost all proposals. Program Specialists will be discussed on March 25. We are hoping to begin work on crafting a monetary package that afternoon and will communicate with you after that date. Please stay engaged by participating in the mid-bargaining survey that will be sent out this week from Survey Monkey.

The parties discussed more contentious non-monetary issues in a respectful, interest-based way that will prepare us for the monetary discussions to come. Monetary discussions start on March 3, 2025.

We proposed starting monetary discussions now, but the parties agreed to continue non-monetary discussions, including the Dispute Resolution Process, clarifying language for STD/LTD plans, and the discipline language in the Collective Agreement.
