COE Bargaining Update #2

City of Edmonton Members,

Your Bargaining Committee met on August 28 and 29, 2024, to develop the bargaining proposals. We will serve notice to commence bargaining with the City of Edmonton this week, intending to start negotiations in October 2024.

Our priority is to ensure the proposals reflect not only the feedback from the Bargaining Survey but also the engagement and input we've received from all of you.

The Committee will meet again on September 20, 2024, to conduct research that strengthens the proposals and refines our strategic vision for bargaining. This will ensure we are fully prepared to advocate effectively in negotiations.

We are pleased to inform you that the proposals are nearing completion. The Committee will highlight the themes of the survey results and proposals at our upcoming Unit Meeting on September 25, 2024, where we will present our work and outline the next steps. Your input remains valuable as we move forward in this process. Please register for the meeting and encourage your colleagues to attend—we look forward to seeing you there.
