CSU 52 City of Edmonton members are currently faced with:

  • Moving from a 33.75 hour work week to a 40 hour work week (Equates to a 18.5% increase in hours).
  • Moving from the 33.75 hour rate to the 40 hour rate (Equates to a 5.5% hourly rate decrease).
  • Uncertainty around whether or not a compressed hours of work program/earned days off (EDOs) will be available.
  • The possibility of the overtime/pay for working a statutory holiday moving from the 33.75 hour rate to the 40 hour rate (this mainly affects provisional, temporary ongoing and 40 hour employees).

While members working at the Edmonton Police Service are not currently affected by the City’s announcement to cancel EDOs, there is a possibility of this happening in the future.

CSU 52 has entered into discussions with the City of Edmonton to try and mitigate the impact of moving to the 40 hour work week, and to discuss how the City is interpreting and applying the Collective Agreement.

The purpose of this meeting is to update our membership and to seek input for our continued discussions with the City. We need to hear your voice; please sign in and register for this meeting.

Closed Captioning will be available in-meeting.
