Mediation Failed - Strike Information Session Planned

CSU 52 and EPL met in Mediation on Friday, January 19, 2024. Unfortunately, mediation did not resolve the differences between the parties. The Mediator has written out, or ended, mediation. However, he will remain available to assist the parties, if required.

The 14-day cooling-off period started today, January 22^nd, and will end on February 5^th. After which, with 72 hours’ notice, the Union can strike or the Employer can lock-out the membership.

There will be a virtual emergency strike information session on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 6:30 pm for all EPL members. At this meeting, critical information about your rights and the impact to the Collective Agreement will be shared. You must understand the impacts of a strike or lockout.

You may also attend one of the City of Edmonton Unit emergency bargaining meetings, if interested, but not as a substitute for the EPL emergency meeting.
