City of Edmonton Bargaining Update

The City and CSU 52 met for a third day of mediation on December 13th. We have not reached a deal, but the parties have agreed at this time to continue in mediation. This gives our City and Edmonton Public Library bargaining teams a chance to consider our options to try and conclude bargaining with a fair and reasonable settlement. Please note that since we have not concluded mediation, we have not entered the next step of a 14-day cooling-off period.

We know that members are feeling anxious about not having bargaining settled, please know that we are doing everything that we can to conclude bargaining. We will provide another update when we have some information we can share.

In the meantime, please pass this information on to your co-workers and encourage everyone to claim their CSU 52 web account. We will need to run a vote at some point in the near future and this provides us with the best option to do so.
