Strike Captain Training

Strike Captains are the leaders of picket lines, they are responsible for keeping everyone on the line safe and act as communicators between the Union headquarters office and the situation on the streets.

The course will cover:

  • Preparations before going on strike
  • How to put up lines, what to do during, how to take lines down
  • Strike Captain duties
  • Media and messaging
  • Strategy and escalation
  • Returning to work
