Shop Steward Assembly Meetings are open to all Active Members of CSU 52. Meeting topics are educational based, relating to union and labour relations matters. Meetings are intended to be interactive where possible, and will foster relationship building between Shop Stewards.

This month's session we have a special guest from the Alberta Public Interest Research Group, which has been organized by our own Anti-Racism & Anti-Discrimination Committee. The session aims to give us an introductory look at anti-oppression frameworks, specifically identifying systemic oppression in our communities, an overview of power dynamics, and the role of anti-oppression practice as a vision/tool in the labour movement and union organizing.

The Assembly Meeting will be hybrid - choose to attend virtually via Zoom or in person at the Union Office (20 available seats). For either attendance option, please register through your CSU 52 web account.

Assistant Chief Shop Steward Vacancy

We will also be nominating and electing an Assistant Chief Shop Steward at this session (Term: January 2024 to December 2025). Nominated candidates will be given a couple minutes to explain who they are and why they would like the role.
