Chief Shop Steward, Amanda Hall, invites all CSU 52 Members to attend this informative Shop Steward Training Session with guest speaker, Laura Jeffreys (CSU 52 Labour Relations Officer).

Join us to learn:

  • The different types of Seniority
  • The benefits of Seniority – vacation, selection, layoff rights
  • When and how to use Seniority in the Hiring Process
  • Other factors involved during hiring – later transfers, accommodation

  1. It’s there a way we can get some of this stuff during business hours? I live in Leduc and between the commute and kids…it is really difficult to attend these, which I would love to do. Our maybe we can remote in like we do for meetings?

    • Hi Lisa,

      As per the Union’s Bylaws, General Membership Meetings and Shop Steward Training Sessions (including the upcoming Session that is open to all Members) must currently be scheduled in the evening. Attendance to these meetings is done so on personal time.

      Your suggestion to remotely view through video streaming will be passed on to the Board of Directors for discussion/consideration. If you ever have questions regarding the Collective Agreement, please contact our office to connect with a Labour Relations Officer.
