Requests received after July 15, 2018 will NOT be processed.

The EPCOR Memorandum of Agreement was ratified by the Membership. There was an excellent turnout with the majority voting in favour of the Agreement.

Please be advised that EPCOR and the CSU 52 EPCOR Negotiations Committee have reached a tentative agreement subject to ratification by the Membership. We are recommending acceptance. The Ratification Vote will be held over two days (Tuesday, May 15th and Wednesday, May 16th), please see the Poll list link below.

Remember that you must use your own time, not EPCOR’s, to vote. Please bring your PURPLE CSU 52 Membership Card with you to vote. If you require a new or replacement Union card, please submit an online Membership Card Application form:

Information Meetings re: Memorandum of Agreement

This information is intended for CSU 52 members and Managers who oversee unionized staff falling within the CSU 52 Bargaining Unit. This update has been jointly issued by the Company and the Union. The purpose of this communication is to provide an update on the progress of negotiations.

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, a tentative settlement was reached. The parties have signed a Memorandum of Agreement that, if ratified by both the Company and the Union, will form the new Collective Agreement. Both parties will be recommending ratification to the respective principals.

The collective bargaining took place in April and both parties are confident that the negotiated terms reflect the interests of both parties.

Information for Employees:

  • CSU 52 will be scheduling member information meetings and making arrangements to conduct a ratification vote.
  • CSU 52 has confirmed that the Information Meetings are scheduled for:
    • Monday, April 30, 2018
      12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • CSU 52 is working to confirm ratification dates. Further information on voting logistics will be posted on this webpage.

Information for Managers:

  • Managers will be provided with written information outlining the terms of the settlement via email at the same time as the first scheduled union information meeting.
  • Information sessions for Managers will be scheduled once the agreement has been ratified by both parties. Details for these meetings, including dates, times and locations will be provided soon.

The Company and the Union have agreed not to release or discuss the terms of the tentative settlement prior to the above meetings. Please respect this by not asking your bargaining team members about the tentative settlement.

Call Out for Negotiations Committee Members

CSU 52 is recruiting Negotiations Committee Members for the EPCOR Collective Agreement negotiations.

The successful applicants will be Active CSU 52 Members who are confident in their ability to articulate the interests and aspirations of employees in their own work area and other member work areas. Committee Members will be inclusive, welcoming and attentive in their support of a wide number of EPCOR employees who will contribute to the bargaining process.

Building the Process

Committee Members will engage the EPCOR Membership in bargaining. Committee Members will work to identify issues and opportunities for collaborative action and ensure the relevance of all proposals for bargaining.

Committee Members will be responsible to attend all meetings associated with the bargaining process and will be responsible to fully contribute to research and communication tasks.

Committee Members will commit to building a supportive team where individual skills are recognized and utilized. Joe Childs (Director of Labour Relations, CSU 52) will act as Chief Negotiator and will be responsible for the Committee.

Interested CSU 52 / EPCOR Members must submit an email detailing their interest in being a member of the Negotiations Committee. All interested Members will meet with Joe Childs (Chief Negotiator), Teresa Doblanko (Contractual Unit Director, EPCOR) and Lanny Chudyk (President, CSU 52) for an interview prior to standing for election to the Negotiations Committee at the appropriate General Membership Meeting.

All applications should be forwarded by June 1, 2017.
