Subject: City of Edmonton's Bill OP12

Dear Members,

A quick update on the City of Edmonton's Bill OP12 and the actions our union is taking to protect your jobs and the services we provide to the city's residents.

As you may know, the City of Edmonton is looking to find efficiencies within the city services and administration to save taxpayers money and redirect funds toward council’s new priorities. We are actively following and in constant communication with council and administration, doing our best to ensure they know the integral role our membership plays in building a vibrant and inclusive city for all Edmontonians.

City administration has made Council aware that they are focused on protecting the relationships they have with their people during this process, as they are key to city building and long-term success.

We want to assure you that we are watching closely and are fully committed to protecting your jobs and the work we do every day. We are actively advocating for our members, making sure that our voices are heard by those making decisions that affect our livelihoods.

In the coming weeks, we will be taking further action to protect our membership and the work we do. We will keep you informed of any updates and progress on this matter.

Please know that we are in this together, and we will do everything we can to ensure that our voices are heard, and our work is valued.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Lanny Chudyk
