I recognize that the last 22 months or so have been extremely difficult for all of us. Hopefully, this wave of Omicron will be the last. Once again, I implore those who are still not vaccinated to please consider vaccination to help protect yourself, your families, and friends from severe outcomes if infected. While vaccination does not absolutely protect from infection, it is significantly proving to lessen the severity of symptoms, thereby reducing strain on our already overloaded health system. Please continue masking and sanitizing your hands.

A reminder to members that the January General Membership meeting is the second Tuesday of the month: January 11, 2022. I will be providing a bargaining updates for all bargaining units at that time. The CSU 52 budget for 2022 will also be presented at the meeting. Please remember that if you are planning to make any amendments to the CSU 52 Constitution & Bylaws, notice of a motion needs to be presented at the January General meeting and fulsome amendments (wording of all changes) would then need to be submitted to the Union Office and posted by March 1, 2022.

I would also once again remind you that you need a Membership Card to attend Union meetings. If you currently are not a card-carrying member, please consider signing up. Also please consider providing your personal email info to us and activating your own web account on our website. With bargaining in full swing in all bargaining units, excepting TELUS World of Science - Edmonton which expires at the end of 2022, it is extremely important that we have a way to contact you to provide info as the bargaining process unfolds.
